Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using TopDecile ("Service", "we", "our", "us") at www.topdecile.uk, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

Description of Service

TopDecile and its AI assistant, DISSECT MRCS, are educational resources to help medical professionals and students prepare for the Membership of the Royal College of Surgeons (MRCS) examinations and other related assessments. Features include:

  • •Calendar integration (optional)
  • •Analytics and progress tracking

Eligibility

  • •You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service.
  • •The Service is intended for medical professionals, students, and those preparing for relevant exams.
  • •By using the Service, you confirm you are legally permitted to do so in your jurisdiction.

Account Responsibilities

Security

  • •You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure.
  • •Notify us immediately at support@topdecile.uk if you suspect unauthorised access.

Information Accuracy

  • •You agree to provide accurate, current information at all times.
  • •False or misleading information may result in suspension or termination.

Google Calendar Integration

Optional Integration

  • •Google Calendar connection is entirely optional.
  • •You may use TopDecile without calendar integration.
  • •You can disconnect or revoke permissions at any time via your Google Account.

Limited Use

  • •We access only the minimum necessary calendar data (busy periods) to schedule study sessions.
  • •We never access or store event content, titles, or attendees.
  • •We only add study sessions to your calendar when you explicitly request it.

Acceptable Use

You must not:

  • ✕Share your account or login details with others.
  • ✕Copy, scrape, or redistribute our questions, AI content, or platform materials.
  • ✕Use the Service for any illegal, unethical, or unauthorised purpose.
  • ✕Attempt to reverse-engineer, probe, or disrupt the Service or security.

You may:

  • ✓Use TopDecile for your own exam preparation.
  • ✓Share your own progress or analytics for personal use.

Intellectual Property

  • •All platform content—including questions, explanations, analytics, and AI-generated output—remains the intellectual property of TopDecile.
  • •You receive a limited, non-transferable license to use platform content for your personal exam preparation only.
  • •You may not reproduce, distribute, or commercialise any content without written permission.

User Content and Data

  • •You retain rights over your own study performance data and can export or delete it at any time.
  • •We may use anonymised, aggregated data to improve the Service.

Payments and Credits

  • •Subscription fees are billed in advance; prices may change with notice.
  • •Credits for AI-powered features expire per plan terms and do not roll over.
  • •Refunds are only provided in accordance with our published refund policy.

Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

Educational Use Only

TopDecile, including DISSECT, is strictly for examination preparation and medical education. It is not intended for clinical use, diagnosis, or patient management. You must not use any content from TopDecile as a substitute for professional clinical judgment, official guidelines, or local protocols.

No Medical Advice

  • •No content provided constitutes or substitutes for clinical or medical advice.
  • •Always consult official sources and defer to your own clinical training.

Service Availability

  • •We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access.
  • •We are not responsible for exam scheduling or consequences of downtime.

Liability

  • •To the maximum extent allowed by law, TopDecile is not liable for any indirect, consequential, or special damages.
  • •Our liability to you is capped at the amount you paid in the previous 12 months.
  • •We are not responsible for third-party services (e.g. Google, Stripe).

Termination

  • •You may close your account and request data deletion at any time.
  • •We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts for breaches of these Terms, misuse, or non-payment.
  • •We may discontinue the Service with at least 30 days' notice (by email or platform announcement).

Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. You will be notified of material changes via email or in-platform notice, at least 30 days before changes take effect. Continued use of the Service means acceptance of the new Terms.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, without regard to conflict of law provisions.

Entire Agreement

These Terms (together with the Privacy Policy) constitute the entire agreement between you and TopDecile regarding use of the Service.
